ACL injuries are common in many sports. The consequences following an ACL injury are devastating and can be career-ending for many athletes. Rehabilitation program have a major role to play in a successful outcome and preventing future complications.
Preoperative rehab of ACL injury
A small percentage of patients with ACL injuries might be suitable for non-operative management.
Rehabilitation concepts are similar for both operative and nonoperative treatment of ACL injuries. However non-operative treatment is different with an increased emphasis on neuromuscular training to restore joint stability.

- Running- Ability to run for 20 minutes
- Back squat/Leg press
- Balance test
- Quad girth within 1 cm compared to the contralateral side
- Hamstrings/Quad ratio strength
- Single leg drops
